Coming 2025

Our story begins with Longmont’s original benefactor, Betsy Rowell Thompson.

The city of Longmont, Colorado began as a business venture on a single square mile of land. It was one of the country’s first planned communities, founded in pursuit of common profit, peopled by industrious innovators and entrepreneurs.

Wealthy benefactor Elizabeth "Betsy" Rowell Thompson believed in this place. She laid the foundation for the inclusive, enlightened Longmont of today when she purchased land and shares in the community so that people of little means could relocate from crowded, dirty cities to this agrarian utopia—and then she gifted the town a hub of knowledge and civic activity, filling Colorado's first public library with her own collection of books and artifacts.

Hotel Longmont will embody Betsy’s sprit and that of the city of Longmont in its guest rooms, productivity-focused lobby library, and lively rooftop bar. For today's inquisitive and discerning sojourner, it will be a welcome refuge for working, socializing, celebrating, and rest amidst Longmont’s bountiful farmland and awesome mountain vistas.

Hotel Longmont, set to open in 2025, will feature 84 well-appointed guest rooms and suites, a rooftop bar and restaurant, and 2,600 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space.
