Elevate Hotel Longmont with Local Art

Call for Artists - Bi-Annual Rotating Artworks:

We believe that great hotels are more than just a place to sleep—they are cultural hubs that reflect the vibrancy and unique spirit of their community. Hotel Longmont is excited to announce a Call for Artists to showcase original artwork throughout our brand new hotel. We are seeking submissions from talented artists who live or work in the Longmont area to create a truly local and inspiring guest experience.

Our Vision:

We are looking for artwork that speaks to the essence of Longmont and the surrounding region. This could include, but is not limited to, pieces that reflect:

  • Natural Beauty: The iconic views of the Rocky Mountains, the plains, local trails, or the St. Vrain River.

  • Local History & Industry: A nod to Longmont's agricultural roots, its innovative tech scene, or its historic downtown.

  • Community & Culture: Representations of local events, diverse community life, or the creative energy of the city.

  • Abstract Interpretations: Unique, sophisticated abstract work that complements our modern, comfortable aesthetic.

Our Goal: To acquire a diverse collection of high-quality, original artwork that engages our guests and proudly represents the talent of the Longmont arts community.

Rotating Artwork Submission:

We are looking for local artists to submit their works to be included in the first bi-annual rotating display for sale to hotel / restaurant guests and local patrons. The two spaces are listed below along with the rail system currently in place for display. The rotating exhibition will be in place for 6 months beginning on opening day and remaining on display for 6 months after the date of opening. Projected dates are Late March - Late August 2026.

How to Apply:

Please complete the submission form below. Include all files that you would like to be included for consideration. Please note there are two different submission forms for locations within the hotel. Please verify the submission that you complete is for the correct location.

Selection:

  • A selection committee comprised of Hotel Longmont representatives will review all submissions.

Compensation: The artist is to receive 100% of the sale price. Please include the cost of shipment in your pieces as hotel guests may need the option to ship to their homes. The hotel will not take on the cost to ship or cost of insurance. We will also not be taking a commission on the sale of the artwork.

Requirements: Each piece should not exceed 30 pounds due to the hanging rail system. Please submit dimensions along with images of each piece.

Deadlines: We have closed our current submission window for the first collection of semiannual rotating artwork but will keep the submission form open for future collections! The current collection is anticipated to be viewable from late May - early November but is subject to change based on construction of the hotel.
